As the economy creates challenges for businesses and consumers it, unfortunately, creates opportunity for those perpetuating a scam. In the last few months the BBB has received calls indicative of a big increase and new variations of many common scams. Unprecedented change in our markets has brought out the worst in some people. Desperate consumers facing financial difficulty are easy marks; don't become a victim. As we enter 2009 remember to protect yourself and your families from being ripped off.
