On April 25, 2008 the BBB Quad Cities Satellite office held their annual integrity award luncheon at the Bettendorf Holiday Inn.  This event honored those businesses and individuals who embody the meaning of ethics and integrity.  Five local high school seniors from the Quad Cities and surrounding areas were also recognized and awarded a $1000 scholarship based on an essay about a real life ethical situation they encountered.

Kellor & Kellor Landscape- Muscatine, IA (under 50 employees)
This local landscaping company was founded in 1987.  The employees of Kellor & Kellor are highly regarded and active members of their community, donating both their time and resources to a large variety groups and organizations.  Part of their mission is “to assure that the company name will be related with quality and integrity- equally.”  This simple but profound statement sums up the characteristics of good businesses with time honored values.  They are proud of their name and they insist that everyone who represents the company do so with honor.

Bridges Catering- Princeton, IA (50 to 250 employees)
John and Sandy Bridges have been in the food service business for over forty years.  They have built a reputation for excellent food and outstanding service.  Their goal is to provide quality food and service at a reasonable price for every community event in the Quad Cities.  In 2007 they served at 900 functions and have maintained an A+ rating with the Scott County Health Department.  This is a business where trust is essential.  At a wedding or other special event, there are no second chances to make things right.  Bridges Catering is truly an example of integrity, honesty and hard work.

Quad City Bank and Trust- Bettendorf, IA (250 or more employees)
This community bank is committed to building relationships through professional and personal services.  While Quad City Bank and Trust is known for their customer friendly business, they might be better known for the leadership they provide the Quad Cities community as a corporate citizen.  This bank is comprised of a group of local residents who are using their good fortune to improve the community in so many ways.  One example is how they have implemented a unique and successful program they call “DREAM.”  This program offers new homeowner classes as well as assistance with down payments and closing costs, thus making the dream of owning a home a reality for many members of our community.
